His interests include Pulmonary and Nephrology diseases. For the future, he plans to enter a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology. He is a member of the ACP. He is single and when not working he enjoys playing table tennis, soccer, swimming.   Ashruth Azad, M.D. Dr. Ashruth C.P Azad received her medical degree from Gulf Medical University, UAE. In her opinion, Mercy St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center fosters an outstanding, vigorous learning environment, which enables the residents to have a better understanding of the pathophysiology of diseases and guides them in the diagnosis and management of a wide variety of medical problems. She plans to pursue a career in Endocrinology or Pulmonology. She is married and when not working, she enjoys photography.  Melissa Bullock, D.O.   Dr. Melissa Bullock received her medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. She chose Mercy St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency because of the teaching faculty and the amicable atmosphere. Her interests include primary care medicine. For the future, she plans to pursue a career in outpatient primary care or as a hospitalist. She is a member of the AOA and ACP. She is married and when not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 cats, working out, watching sports and girl TV shows, and hanging out with friends.   Owais Idris, M.D. Dr. Owais Idris  received his medical degree from AmericanUniversity of the Carribean  School of Medicine. He chose Mercy St. Vincent  Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency because of the wide scope, high quality, and inner city aspects of the program. His interests include cardiovascular and endocrine diseases, especially coronary artery disease and diabetes mellitus. He is a member of the ACP. He is married and when not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, playing sports, watching TV, and catching up with family and friends.  Adireddy Kamireddy, M.D. Dr. Adireddy Kamireddy  received his medical degree from Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada, India. He is glad that he choose Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. He has found that the working environment is friendly and encouraging, and has strong teaching and the family- like program structure makes it a lot of fun. He is interested in doing a Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship. He is single and enjoys being with the residents on weekends playing Cricket and volleyball. Navjot Kaur, M.D. Dr. Navjot Kaur received her medical degree from Dayanand Medical College,India. Tanzeela Khan, M.D. Dr. Tanzeela Khan  received her medical degree from King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Pakistan. She joined Mercy St. Vincent Mercy Medical because it maintains a completely modern and attractive campus and also takes a leadership role in providing quality medical education and community development. She likes to be involved in any kind of charity work and also enjoys reading, listening music, and travelling in her free time. Rohit Mahajan, M.D. Dr. Rohit Mahajan  received his medical degree from Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, India. He chose Mercy St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency because of the excellent academic and training facilities provided here. His interests include endocrine diseases. Rawan Narwal, M.D. Dr. Rawan Narwal  received her medical degree from AUC, School of Medicine. She chose Mercy St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency because of the intellectual challenges it provides at the level of a University training program with the warmth, comfort and diversity of a large community hospital. Her interests include rheumatology and palliative care. For the future, she plans to pursue a career in Primary Care. She is a member of the ACP, Sikh Youth Society, and NetSAP. She is engaged and when not working she enjoys gardening, crafts, and volunteering with various social activity groups. Kartik Patel, M.D. Dr. Kartik Patel  received his M.D. from Ross University School of Medicine. He chose Mercy St Vincent Medical Center because of its strong emphasis and balance of academics, practical training, and dedication to the community. His medical interests include everything from the bread and butter of Internal Medicine to the more complex disorders of the subspecialties. Thus, with a broad interest base, he is considering hospitalist vs fellowship opportunities. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. Mona Singh, M.D. Dr. Mona Singh was born and raised in Faridabad, a city located in north India. She received her medical degree from Pt BDS PGIMS Rohtak, India. She considers Mercy St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center a strong teaching institute with excellent clinical exposure and great teaching faculty members and plenty of learning opportunities. The program is very educational oriented and does not rely on residents for service. She plans to pursue a career in the field of hospital medicine and also in outpatient primary care. He chose Mercy St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency because of their profound sense of charity to the surrounding community and the close knit “family like” feel of the program. His interests include, Formula One racing, wall climbing and mountain biking. For the future, he plans to enter a fellowship in or pursue a career in Gastroenterology. Amina El Gendi, M.D. Dr. Amina El Gendi received her medical degree from Medical School Hannover in Germany. Mbonu Ikezuagu, M.D. Dr. Mbonu N Ikezuagu, M.D., M.H.S.A., received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and his Masters of Health Services Administration from The George Washington University Medical Center in Washington DC. He chose Mercy St. Vincent Internal Medicine Residency because of its resident autonomy, warm and friendly environment, and the low-cost of living in Toledo. Dr. Ikezuagu has interests in cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, patient safety and electronic medical record. He plans to pursue a career in academic/administrative medicine and healthcare management.
